An interesting, but not new, approach to photography.

Looking at his “walk across america” site, the photos of him (which I assume he didn’t take) and his dog are more interesting generally that the photos which were the point of the journey. This contributes to my theory that interesting photography is personal. The problem here is that he is more interesting than his subject. Not a good position for a photographer.

We went down and bought a pile of books for $26. It was a bit of a drive back and forth, but I’m glad we went!

Tell Somebody

July 12, 2004

Here’s a very cool song from Rickie.

I saw Farenheit 9/11. It’s difficult to put into words my reaction. The assertions and implications are just so overwhelming that it’s hard to deal with. Some of the implications are contradictory: is Bush an idiot or is Bush an extremely clever Evil Doer? I suppose the reality is somewhere in between and that there is more going on behind the scenes that even this movie reveals.

Every American should see this movie.

I would love to see a detailed analysis and investigation into the claims and assertions that this movie makes. Not that I believe it will be debunked, but that it’s so shocking that it really needs supporting evidence. Otherwise it’s too easy, and tempting, to discount it as the ravings of Michael Moore.

Mittie and I happened to catch this program. Another example of the disasters wrought because of the “foreign policy” of this American Empire. It’s incredibly shameful.
